Our mobile scanning units

Your appointment will take place in a mobile scanning unit near the hospital. A set of stairs lead up into the unit which is fully climate controlled for your comfort. You will be welcomed by one of our team.

Where space allows, there is a Patient Support Vehicle where you will be given an injection by a Radiographer/Technician and asked to rest for one hour until you are ready for your scan. If the Patient Support Vehicle is unable to be located next to the PET/CT mobile, the injection will be administered in the nearby hospital. You will then be accompanied to the scanner by a Radiographer/Technician.

The mobile unit is fully accessible for disabled patients. Toilet facilities will be available either on the Patient Support Vehicle or within the hospital.
